A children’s history of Laurel was first compiled by the late Cyndi Trest, a beloved local teacher who positively impacted the lives of many Laurel children. Award-winning author Karen Rasberry uses that history to create the narrative and story for I Live in Laurel. Adam Trest, Cyndi’s son, with his delightful illustrations, transforms the history of Laurel into a children’s book that will remain a treasured keepsake for years to come.
